Traces of Ottoman Naval Victory Discovered

Remains of the Sheep Islands Naval War, which resulted in the Ottoman victory over Venice in 1695, thus removing the Venetian pressure in the Aegean Sea, were discovered.

Under the coordination of Associate Professor Harun ÖZDAŞ, between 28-30 June 2018, Hoytek Demre was used for divers support and exploration purposes during the expedition carried out within the scope of the Turkey Shipwreck Inventory Project with the K. Piri Reis Research Ship.
